Vandenberg AFB Rocket Launch

Took a trip out to Vandenberg Air Force Base yesterday and witnessed a rocket launch (Delta IV) carrying a classified payload. We were ~3mi from the launch site and it was something to behold. The sound was like a slow motion tearing of a piece of paper and the speed in which it happened was awe inspiring. Anyways, here are some photos:
