PBS comes to UCSB, shooting for a special on Juvenile in Justice

I came into my first day of class for a grad level course on Justice (in art and social sciences) to see some PBS camera people setting up to get some footage for upcoming coverage on Richard Ross, Cissy Ross, and Victor Rios’ project called Juvenile in Justice. Richard has shot extensively all over the nation; photographing cells, children, common areas, classrooms, and more all having to do with juveniles in (and out of) the legal system and the policies surrounding them. Victor (Dr. Rios) has written a book called “Punished: Policing the Lives of Black and Latino Boys” (Amazon Link) and is heading one of the classes I’m going to be in and out of this quarter.
